Your baby may be pulling himself up now, grabbing on to any available piece of furniture then standing while holding on to it. Some babies walk as early as eight months, while others don't walk until well into their second year. Either is normal. Your baby will workout how to stand up fairly easily on his own. The thing that may stump him is sitting back down again! When your little one pulls himself to standing then cries for you to sit him back down, don't rush to pick him up. Instead, show him how to bend his knees so that he doesn't land with such a thud.
