Your 10 month old, first week

Your baby may be working on walking this month, holding on to whatever he can to help him cruise around the house. To keep him safe, make sure you secure freestanding bookshelves, lamps and other unstable furniture that could topple over when he grabs it. Leave his feet bare, too. That'll help him keep his balance as he takes his first stumbling steps. And, of course, stay close by to lend a helping hand. Try not to worry if your baby does these things a little later than others. Babies develop at very different rates from this age onwards, and your baby may well do things earlier or later than his little friends.
