a good time to start teaching your baby which behaviour is acceptable and which
iisn't. When she tugs on the dog's ear or tries to put sand in her mouth, it's
just her natural curiosity getting the better of her. Instead of constantly
saying no, show her how to pat the dog gently or divert her attention from the
sand. She understands a lot more than you think, so try using simple words,
such as "Poor doggy!", to let her know why you don't want her to do
something.
